Project Details
Phil Myrick is working with Salt Lake City, Perkins&Will, HR&A, and Kimley-Horn to create a district development plan for 40 acres of vacant land in downtown, adjacent to the main transit hub. The project’s goal is to transform the Depot District’s core into a lively live-work-play environment. Life sciences and community health anchors will anchor the district and build on the momentum of Mayor Erin Mendenhall’s Tech Lake City initiative. The project is a chance to bridge the gap between the outstanding research and commercialization efforts and west side communities. The project will bring all the hallmarks of a great urban district – including sense of place, residential, retail and dining, but also offer opportunities for education and workforce development to make genuine progress in creating a more inclusive environment for innovation and technology.
